DH-T

It is there when i do mine i'll let you know where i found it. But search higher rather than lower. :D:D

Thank you I will keep an eye out.If you out around Forest of Bowland anytime pop in for a cuppa DH-T.

Mine was well and truly blocked when I got it I gave it a few shots of air from the rear water jet end naughty I know but did the job.

Now that is a nice area. One of the secret lovely places in the country.

The rear washer water line runs down the outer edge of the near side alcove between the rear tailgate rubber seal and the rear quarterlight.

There are lots of cut outs and if you put your hand in the gap you will find the tubing hanging down.

The one way, (check), valve is located here and there should be sufficient spare tubing to allow you to remove it and check it, (no pun intended).

I had to replace my upper tailgate last month!

I don't want to hijack the thread but I'll be replacing mine over the summer ( replacement standing by for fitting).1. Any hints/tips/warnings ?
2. Is the valve just a pull out ? ( mine hasn't worked for 6 years !)

Yeah wear a false nose and Micky Mouse ears when you are doing it. Won't make it any easier but will give the bloke next door something to talk about in the pub. :D:D

I wouldn't have thought of that.....I'll let you know how it goes......is that all I should wear ? I'd hate to have an accident with the dipstick.

The task of replacing the valve really is simplicity itself - so get in there!

It should be possible to train any avian member of the Crow family to undertake the job - if you rig up some food as a final reward.

Just be respectful to your neighbours by not considering the clown outfit if you plan on doing the work in late October!

Well Iv'e searched high and low and cant't find it anywhere, there is a clip in the place it should be but no tube, there is tubing up at the spray nozzle end going of to the right side of the car but that is where I loose it.I don't supose it being a ex police car would have anything to do with it.Well I will have to live with it for now or I should say without it. I feel a 'Toyah' moment coming on - 'It's a mystery'!

It should be there and all I can suggest is to carefully pull out the gaitor, (between the upper tailgate and var body - where the heated windscreen and wiper motor cables are routed - along with the washer tubing), and gently pull the tubing from inside the car roof space area.

If yours has been cut/removed it will pull out easily but if it is just hidden you will feel resistance.

The upper trim comes off easily, (4 phillips screws I believe), and you can then chase it back all the way to just above the cd/sub woofer unit.

Thanks for that,I know the tube goes from the nozzle back to the grommet as I had the wiper motor cover of the other day.but I didn't check from the grommet back, but it looks like it as been cut at some stage and the two ends have gone there own ways never to meet again, and I'm not going to rip the car apart on the chance I find them.Thank to eveyone who contributedv but it looks like a lost cause .
