Got a defender 110 commercial a month ago, greatest fun with my clothes on, but the side of the van seems to block my rear view. Any suggestions vis-avis mirrors etc:(

They "click" - they have 3 positions, 2 of which are ****e and the other is marginally less ****e but still ****e - push them forwards as far as possible without the door pillar obscuring the view, to get your best angle. Otherwise, get some of those caravanning mirrors - or just get used to only having a vague awareness of what's going on behind you...look to the future!!!

Thanks to Terry 01, Odenne, Hughesy and Treworgey 90. Will look closer at Terrys photos, try Odennes 3 positions, check out Treworgey 90's side mirror and if they fall fail resign myself to Hughesy's philosophical view and try having fun with my clothes off in the landy. Thanks again, appreciate the contact, this is a great forum

The only time I find it a problem is when trying to see out of the passenger window when coming out of a T junction. Once you get used to it you'll find you approach junctions at a slightly different angle to help your view. Having driven vans all my life I've never seen it as a problem but it is a bit different if you're used to a car. Those blind spot rear windows would definitely be worth having.
