Well finally took my freelander to LR specialist yesterday to get them to look at noise getting from rear when turning on full lock at slow speeds.
Only really happens when parking or first pulling off but noise is doing my head in.
They had a look at it and said they could get it to make the noise whilst driving but not when on the ramp.
Apparently the rear diff bushes are not perfect but not enough wear to cause the knock.
They believe it may be the subframe making the noise as have had this previously.
I have been advised to keep using until noise gets worse then return and hopefully pin point the weakness in the sub-frame which could then be fixed by welding.
Anyone had this problem before? is it common?
Got to go back next week anyway now as needs two propshaft bearings.
Damn.
Cheers in advance
