Ive searched the crap out of this and have no luck finding much, seems to me i can use a standard rear coil on the front of my d1 to lift 2'' ,anyone done it ? cheers Andy

iirc, thats what the Cummins 6bt conversions do (as its a 1/2 ton engine!)

cheers zed ,the standard rear spring is in fact very close to the specs of a cobra 2 inch lifted HD coil here in NZ

Yes.
When fitting heavy dutys to rear.
Just moved rear to front as I went along.
Be sure to do same side to sme side.
I also had gaz shocks fitted too, although this had already been done. It drives just fine on my 300tdi. V little roll, much better than original set up for that and benefit of easier towing and load carrying, which was why I did it.
