Hi, can anyone give me some idea why my rear lower shock rubbers on a 110 td5 5 door wear out about 3 months. Its a ex navy but doesn't seem to have any suspension mods

poor bushes or is hole in bracket elongated

hole in through both cups is fine but they are britpart do you know if poly ones are alot stronger

dubble check you have them the right way up

Ah, Britpart. Well, that explains why they only last about 5 mins. Try something a bit more expensive. I think I shall try some Superpro ones when mine need replacing.

Britpart ones last 3 months
Poly ones last 6 - 12 months
Genuine / OEM Rubber ones last 10 years


No-brainer for me.

thanks all, I'll try some decent poly bushes, then see how long they last

polybushes takes five minutes to replace, but to use rubber ones you need a press

ok,but if they dont last very long,whats the point in keep replacing them.use the rubber ones and they will last years and years.
