I need to take the back of a set of rear seats for a 3 door. It's a 2/1 split. It's the 2 seats. Is this an easy job and anyone ever done it. It's missing 2 receivers for the clips for sunroof bag. And I'm looking at fitting something to act as receivers for clips..

Removing the rear seats is quite straightforward. There have several occasions I’ve taken them out completely to add a *lot* more carrying space in the rear. It’s just the large torx that you need to remove. They are located at the front on brackets that extend below the seats. The other ones are accessible when the seats folded from the boot.

The sunroof holder clips corroded in both my hippos. In my first hippo they were replaced under warranty. The replacements started going too. Probably the sort of thing that are still available from a JLR spares supplier.

Thanks, getting seats out not the problem. Getting the back off to fix the receivers for the screws is my problem..don't want to damage the backs.

Ah, I see. I didn’t read it properly. Sorry.

My guess is the whole cover will have to come off, tackling it from the join in the two seat parts. That could be a bugger getting the material/leather back on and looking good without it looking like it has been messed with. Sorry I can’t help on what your question actually was.
