Hi All,

Just wondering how this bottom trim piece on the rear quarter comes off?

I'm guessing its just adhesive like most of the other body trim but wanted to check before I start attacking it

Cheers

The 2 cross head screws that screw through the lower part of the wing into the trim panel can be real pig to remove due to the crud that ends up in the threads. I've always needed an 1/4 inch Ratchet drive with the relevant cross head bit to get enough torque to loosen them unless they've been removed recently.
The bit must fit the screw head really well and you will probably need to press the trim panel in while pushing hard with the Ratchet to avoid the lower wing bending!

Thanks Griff, I really need to get familiarised with RAVE so sorry for using you as a search function!

Hi Paul, yeah I had a bit of a go at those cross heads and I can already tell there's going to be a lot of swearing involved with getting them free - no doubt they've been in situ since 2002
Using a ratchet to get a bit of torque on them is a really good shout so I'll have to give that a shot today - hopefully the corrosion on the heads isnt so bad I cant get anything to bite on them

The cross heads will be full of debris if they're anuything like mine were. You can use the sharp end of a Stanley knife blade to clean it all out to make sure the bit grips well
