In urgent need of a rear propshaft by tomorrow. If anyone can help I would be sincerely grateful.

Rear UJ has failed and when I went to replace it I noticed that it's also damaged the propshaft by partly splitting the metal yoke. I need to have this fixed and operational by Monday morning. Because of urgency I will travel. (Within reason lol).

Thanks everyone. :)

you can run about in 2wd unless your front prop is also requiring attention:)

Hi James - that would've been ideal, unfortunately I need it for the retest. Sadly it failed on corroding rear tubular outrigger and a failing UJ. I put a new outrigger on, but the GKN UJs only arrived this morning. Was devastated when I realised what the problem was. :(

I have an almost new rear 300tdi propshaft £40 plus postage

Is there a reason why it cannot be tested without the propshaft I.e if it's removed it's bolonger there to be tested?

Hi mate - how soon can you get it to me.?! If you could get it here by Tuesday at the latest I could call the test centre and explain I'm just awaiting the a replacement prop.

Cheers

You can just remove the prop for the mot, if it's not not fitted it can't fail, they can't do a thing about it. I used to take a lot of HGV mot's. Lots of times, if they picked up on something it could simply be removed. MOT rules are very loose, nowhere will it say you need to have a prop fitted.. But if it is fitted it must be serviceable.
