'98 Disco D1 "S" manual, no frills no electronics. The rear power windows just stopped working, they dont get used very often, fronts are working fine, central locking works fine, I've tried the control lockout in the centre console in both positions and the door switches still no go. Just a fuse, (have not checked yet if there are individual fuses for F&R), or is there a bigger common problem, any ideas?

Go over the whole board with a magnifying glass while it's out as well - saves another joint going after you re-solder the common one.

Helps to only operate one window at a time as well, for future reference

Thank you for the link to that post @Iancorky ,have now found the dry joint on the ECU circuit board and re-soldered, it was exactly as described in the photos, rear windows now working fine, thanks to all.
Now I have two more to fix for a couple of mates Discos, should be easy now that I've fixed mine, getting to the ECU is the hardest part of the job.
Love this forum, couldn't own a Disco without all the good info available to keep it going.

Always good when you manage a cheap easy fix to keep the old bone shaker going :)

Can't imagine what it would cost to take it to an auto eleco and have it diagnosed and repaired, makes one feel most fortunate to be a member of LZ.
