Retired - Living the dream
Passenger rear window doesn't work at all.

Have firstly swapped the door switch with the rear drivers door but no change
Checked the fuse under the drivers seat
Changed the motor and regulator for a 2nd hand guaranteed unit

and still no change

Took the switch pack apart at the centre console but this looks to be quite clean and dry

Head scratching time, anyone an idea where I go next with this?

did you check that the motor worked before fitting in?
the easy way to do this is to have a battery, from live terminal to 1 of the pins in the connector, from negative terminal to the other pin in the connector, if this tries going up, change the wires over and it should go down, if it does not move its knackered.

I've not fitted the regulator yet, wanted to make sure the 'new' one worked first to save going to all the bother of fitting and riveting.
There are 6 pins, which ones should I use?

from looking at rave, it looks like its pins 1 and 3
ive never tried it on a rangie, usually they only have 2 pins

Anyone

This has me stumped
I have checked all the wiring and all seems fine.
Any one know how to check the motor there are 6 wires going to it.

Problem is I have changed the regulator and as the window is not moving, its about 2" short of closing.
Im going to have to disconnect the regulator and wedge the glass until I get this sorted

Not great with wiring diagrams, here's the rear passenger window one, any experts tell me which wires to connect in the hope of spinning the motor?

Positive to pin 1, negative to pin 3 I would guess from the drawing, the other connections are current sensing for anti trap as far as I'm aware.

Hi, a friend of mine had the same problem that you have got when he purchased his p38, he was getting power to window but no up and down, it turned out that it was a problem within the BECM luckily he knows his way around the BECM and was able to repair it. He is a member on RangeRovers.Net and his user name is Marty- NZ. He has posted on here a few times too, I am sure if you messaged him he may be able to point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps. Paul.
