My 3 year old decided to climb from the boot to the back seat over the top of the parcel shelf. The shelf which was not good order to begin with has now split leaving me with two halfs.

It has split down on of the normal folds. Has anyone ever tried to make a repair to the shelf or is it a case of looking for a new one.

Hi

in my hert of herts i would try and fix it but in all honesty start emailing the breakers of flebay and get another one, the fix will nevr look good and will just fall apart.

there are that many p38 being scrapped you should be able to find one but they do sem to be rare.

first things first you need to get a dog guard
that way the kids cant get out of the boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a new one out of 1/4" plywood hinged on a fixed plate of same : covered with matching carpet. Looks great and has been in place for best part of a year without probs. Cost ? next to nothing.
