Retired - Living the dream
The dreaded MOT was this morning and although the Disco passed I was given an advisory note regarding the rear indicator and fog light being discoloured.
I bought a new light unit on 23b July 2008 this year from an independent Land Rover dealer (Maltings) but when it arrived I noted it to be a non genuine part (Britpart) I did note that the lens had a slightly different tint to it than the original.
Was the MOT tester just being picky or is it justified to issue an advisory note.

He's just doing his job mate, if the lights not right then you should take it back and throw it at the person you brought it from, them ask him for a replacement/refund.

Hi

Just out of interest, most landy parts were never made in the UK from the nineties, most factories are in eastern or southern Europe.....aside from body and block.
