He asked about interior lights. Normal LEDs will work fine on the interior lights, as there's no error warnings on them.
Exterior lights - yes either load resistors, or modifying the BECM slightly so you don't get error warnings.

Is it not the 'ECU' that worries about bulbs rather than the vehicle ? ...

Yes. Got them in mine. Much brighter and "cleaner" and shows off my immaculate roof lining.
I think PaulsP38A site has the sizes. I saw them somewhere anyway.
That shed is organised, it just looks a tip to the untrained. Anyway, I had a clearout. There's room for another P38 in there now as long as I can cut it up small enough.
