Don't forget, if welding in box section, the A, B & C pillars will need supporting.
I guessed they would. I'll make up some "pit props" to support them.
Will the doors need to come off?
I notice from the various threads covering sill replacements that they normally have the doors (and everything else it seems) removed. I'll whip the wing off to get access to the A pillar, but would need some help doing the doors - never done them before and I guess they are frigging 'eavy!
I would like to avoid wholesale interior removal if I can, just cos I'm lazy I suppose...
True, but ground down the welds look OK. Bit of seam sealer and a coat of paint and they're under a carpet anyway.nothing a good grinding disk and more welding practice wont cure .
