I'm looking to put some sort of rear inner arch protection on my D90 to help deflect mud and water from the multitude of orifices, traps and shelves that make up the chassis and tub. Experiments with heat-formed acrylic have had mixed results, so anyone experience of commercial systems (Lokari, etc) or come up with their own home-brew solution?

I've used 3mm rubber sheet for years at the front and rear, easy to cut to shape, fixed with zip ties at the back, screwed/bolted to the existing inner wing and mudflap at the front. Cheap as chips and really effective.

Thanks for that and should be easy enough to source; out of interest, where did you buy it and is there any particular type, etc?

I just googled and bought a couple of sq metres as it was so cheap. Great for lots of odd things around the shed.

Glyn Lewis 4x4 sell various kits of plastic pieces to protect the front and rear chassis from mud.
I’ve fitted the front and rear (of the rear wheel arches) kits to my 110.
Obviously it’s much cheaper to make your own, but these are a perfect fit and only took a few minutes to put on. l also have the front wheel arch kit but haven’t got around to fitting them yet.
