Is the leak from 219098 or 571235 and which part loosens off

it doesunt look the same as this, has a plate with bolts & its those bolts that wind off slightly but yes 571235

i put some silicone seal behind the plate & cleaned out the threads put locktight on bolts but seems to have slackened off again !

Check that there is no movement in the hub itself. Jack up the wheel and pull the shaft before checking for any side to side movement in the wheel.
If this problem has been going on some time it may be the holes in the hub and/or the bolts may have worn some. New bolts may sort it.

Have the bolts got the spring washers fitted maybe try some new ones , check the bolts are not bottoming out in the holes.

Agreed, and do not over tighten. The threads in the hub are quite easy to strip. I would start with a full set of new bolts and lock washers, they don't cost much. I had the same problem and found many of the threads on the bolts were quite worn. New bolts also give a new lease of life to the threads in the hub.

The Repair operations manual says to tighten the drive flange bolts to 30 to 38 ft lbs torque.

The value given for the central flange nut is only 15 to 20 ft lbs.

theres no side movement , there is spring washers on ,& i put lock tight after cleaning the threads wiht brake spray & airline . think new bolts & washers sound like a plan . will keep posted thanks chaps treg mick
