The 'helper' springs are fitted to 130s, as you say. Good if you carry a lot of weight or do heavy towing.I have a spring inside of a spring on mine very pleased think they're off a ex police 130
It's just the right amount of 'arse up' for me (ooh err), but I know what you mean. At least I've stopped dazzling oncoming traffic with my headlights!Looks a nice 110.
In reference to previous comments, the Boge self-leveller was not an optional extra - it was fitted to all 110s with 'levelled' suspension (i.e. station wagons) until its discontinuation and the start of the use of progressive springs.
Hope the progressive springs work for you. I don't particularly like the 'arse up' stance they can give so am going for standard soft 'levelled' springs and air helper bags to replace the function of the Boge unit.
How heavy is heavy then? My csw is now a coffee machine and carries about 200kg in the back. A csw carries 7 people in the back which is more than 200kg. Do you think I can go for a slightly softer suspension set up as the ride is horrendous. I've also got a screwy thing underneath what does this do?Mate ahs just fitted britpart hd springs and terrafirma std height gas shocks to the rear of two 300 discos, both owners reckon much better as they tow a lot, he reckons so good hes going to do his own disco as well.
