hi all, new to this, but not to landrovers, being a retired mv technician and time served Leyland RR, but here's my dilemma I have purchased a 2004 Freelander 4door 80K with a nasty whine coming from the rear, I have replaced both bearings (no wear visible )and replaced the diff (with guaranteed low mileage 2nd hand unit,) as the front seal was leaking and I thought low oil in the diff poss crown and pinion running hot , and all mounts, removed the prop to exclude poss VCU worn bearings, but same noise is still there! any of you had similar symptoms? got me scratching me bonce Mikado

i get those symptoms when the missus rides in the back.

I dont know, but welcome, try posting your query in the freelander forum on here as more people will see it

I've got more of a rear end rasp, I think it was last nights sprouts and to much chewing gum. I'm starting to fall out with myself :(
