You will need a two bolt tow ball fitted.

I had one of these on my first D1. To be honest it lasted about a week before it was bent and eventually binned. It was fitted to a Dixon Bate that was also a pain. The both acted more like a plough than anything else when off-roading. If you use your D2 offroad I would think twice before bolting one on.
 
It will fit no problem on that tow bar, I have one on mine which is ideal. I bolted mine in the alternate tow bar holes as a quick fix and the height is better suited. (the checker plate is just stuck on over the top as it is better for the grand kids getting in and out)
