trying to fit my rear door handle and im stuck... there is a small rod that attaches from the handle to the lock mechinism but what ever way it goes i cant seem to get it right , would anybody have a diagram for the assembly pls .
regards mark

I've seen people saying "rear door" and referring to the tail gate as well as to the actual left/right rear door. So which one is it?

What Discovery is that, a Discovery 4?

Now you're talking... although my driver's side is left :p

The rod in question is #9 in the diagram and it's showed in the right position. Identify the end that clips in the latch. Then use the other end and stick it to the door handle in such a way that it will look as in diagram after you fit it (that'll be looking from outside, door panel made of glass).

You're welcome. Just take your time and treat it like a 3d puzzle. Everything goes smoother if you're having fun doing it.

I have a 2000 Discovery II, do you know what the #4 plastic part in the diagram is called? Mine is coming off of the driver's door handle and I cannot find that small part for the life of me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
