try ebay or one of the other forums... you should get a good second hand diff for a series for £25 tops although why not swop for 3.54 while your doing it... better fuel economy

cheers steve

because 3.54 is awful high horrible.to.drive in.low range ans makes your hand brake very un effective.

saw pm sorry not possible

i picked up an axle inc diff today will strip from the axle and check condition. If found to be in gwo will post for postage costs plus £55.

you will find cheaper locally for sure but I wont sell a bad diff. check out the rusty junk you get on ebay sold as "working"

One useful suggestion I got when I last replaced a rear diff was to look for one off a front axle. The front and rear diffs (at least the internals) are identical, but because most vehicles are used in 2WD quite a lot the front diffs are suffer a lot less wear.

As it turned out I ended up getting a reconditioned one from LR Series (L. R. Series - specialists in land rover, land rover series and range rover - gearbox, axle, transmission parts, spares and major units) and I was very happy with that - can't remember the price but it was pretty reasonable at the time. This comes with the caveat that it as a while ago and prices may have changed a lot since then.
