Sorry guys, forgot to mention this! Discovered the day before I left for Oxford that the rear diff cover has a hole in it, leaking rather a 'lot' of oil! Decided to risk it and go anyway, and thank goodness, got there and back, even if it was with oil all over the back of Bessie, and all over the horsebox! When my son checked it, the ex. had tried to bodge it with some putty-like nonsense, no surprise there then. So I'm guessing that the sensible thing to do is to replace the diff cover? Do i buy a new one, secondhand, genuine or not? And am i likely to have damaged he diff? Sound like i know what I'm talking about, but I haven't a clue! :wtf: Know how to clonk the starter with hammer when it sticks, and bleed the air out of the injector now and then! I'm learning! Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
