Hi everyone i am new to the site today. So i hope some of you can give me some advice.
I am the proud owner of a '98 1.8 freelander.Recently when pulling off there has been a bang from the rear end.I have been told it's a common fault on these and it's the rear diff bushes with the centre one most commonly to go.I brought the part from my local dealer ( only £14 ) and tried to replace it myself.I got the old bush off in about 10 mins but couldnt get it out past the diff.So after struggling for about an hour i bolted the old one back on. Can anyone shed some light on how to get the bush off the car. The left and right ones look like they just drop off the car when the 3 bolts are taken out but the centre one is a different story
Hope some of you clever ones out there can help.
