my rear demister doesn't work, though it does get 12 volts. i was thinking of getting a little 12v fan to blow warm air on the glass, mount it on the side of the door and connect it up.

has anyone else done this or can they recommend a product which would do the job?

any tips would be appreciated, will

Computer fan will work well

12V CAR CERAMIC FAN HEATER BLOWER Cig Lighter Plug | eBay

might try this, lop off the cigar lighter plug, wire it in, hey presto, perhaps...

thats what I got in mine cept, I mounted mine to the rear headlining, and ran the cable round to the wiring on the landy rather than the door.

works quite well actually, dont expect it to actually HEAT anything, but it does demist the rear window.

BRILL! that's exactly what I was looking for : i'll just extend the wire and bit and hey presto. how much did you pay for yours? i've seen em for about a tenner but they're all on crappy plastic bases, dunno if they'd hold up to being screwed onto the metal above the door (don't have rear headlining as it's a hardtop)

Should be OK if you use washers either side to spread the pressure across the base

Doubt it's very heavy, so self tapers should do the job

mine was a £10 jobbie, and the base is crap,
on the round tuit list is to make a metal one out of all round band or summat,

looked at some others, but the bases all seem similar tbh.

mines just held up with self tappers, an a couple of washers, its only screwed into the rooflining strengthener.
