Hello all, I'm a long-time lurker, first time poster - so sorry if this appears spammy; it's not, just wanted to relay a positive experience.
Having read this thread I decided to give Clive a go and get him to supply and fit a corssmember for my 90. Obviously I was as skeptical as many people are, simply because of the price, but as soon as I got there it became clear that he knows exactly what he's doing and is very skilled at what he does. The crossmembers themselves are sturdy items, but weigh less than a TD5 crossmember and considerably less than my 300tdi's crossmember.
It has to be said that absolutely no corners were cut - the job was done properly and to a very high standard, and if you want peace of mind (or if you've got nothing else to do) you can spend the day watching him work. He built up the chassis ends using new metal, so any rust that was there previously is properly cut out. Even though it turned out to be a pig of a job on my 90, he got on with it all with good humour, and I'd strongly recommend that anybody should consider him when looking for a new crossmember.
For me, it worked out (a lot) cheaper to travel from Birmingham to Essex and back in order to get it fitted, when compared with getting it fitted locally. Like half the price of the other company that everybody recommends. It's a great product at a great price, with great service - can't really ask for any more.
(Just do Clive a favour and try to remove the Waxoil from the rear of your chassis before he gets covered in the stuff!)
