hi all,
have got a p38 4.6hse, took it for mot and it had a sticking rear calliper so have purchased a pair of calipers (experience with my bm says they tend to go wrong at same time) a set of discs and some new pads, checked all pipes and they look like been replaced recently, just wanted to check iv got procedure correct,
1) depressurise brake system
2) change all components
3) bleed brakes
do i bleed whole sysem or just rear? or is it worth changing brake fluid throughout system while im at it? i have got the bleeding procedure through this forum,
thanks in anticipation for your help

chris

If it were me I would change the fluid at the same time if you do not know that it has been done recently.

thanks datatek, thought that might be a good idea, have read through the bleeding sequence and seems quite straightforward if a bit longwinded, is there anything particular that i should loook out for?

air bubbles? what are they haha.
didnt buy new pins, doh what a tw*t, one side no probs. other side welded in, another trip to motor factors me thinks, simple job nightmare syndrome

Rule of thumb with motor vehicles is. Anything you think you need and buy you won't need. Anything you forget to get, you will need. Anything you though you needed, bought and didn't need, you won't be able to find when you do need it.:):)
