thanks got it done.

quick question. the pistons flew uit of the brake cilinder. Got them back in but do I need to take the air out of the brake system?

Bloody hell Dutch mate, if you are this unfamiliar with brakes perhaps it would be better done by a garage!!!

Did you consider removing the other brake drum and checking that one ;)

Thanks, yes checked the other side and that one is OK. That is also how I found out where the smaller spring had to go.

Changed brakes of other cars in the past. But this one was so stuck and such a hustle to get of that when I was removing all the springs flew of before I could even see how it was mounted.

Ordered all new part ion the UK, as here in Holland you get ripped off. Really incredilble 300 euro parts vs max 100 in the UK with shipping....

thanks agin guys for the help

Can anyone provide the part number for part 14 on the diagram? It is the m6x10mm bolt for the wheel cylinder. Any help is appreciated.

Can't seem to get them bled properly. Pedal is a bit mushy. Has brakes, but I think I have air trapped in the system. Is the proper bled order front Left to front right to left rear to right rear?

Its shown in the rave manual if you have it, think its fronts then back - that's how I did mine and got the info from there.

Had to bleed them twice to get decent brakes. Put through about 3 bottles of fluid as well. I had replaced the ABS modulator though. Mine's a '99.
