A Disco 2 remap shop ..

Seriously, join in a bit more, visit and use the 'introduce yourself' thread and you might get better, more useful answers.

And 'best' can be completely different for different people, more specifics will be needed to ascertain what 'best' might be ..

Now that you've been belittled and spoke to like a naughty schoolboy and expected to gain the approval of some of the almighty on here Timbo, I'll give you a serious answer.

It's well worth a drive to see Gary at Alive Tuning in Grimsby 01472812900. Tell him I sent you and you want a bit of trade discount. Your drive back home will be very pleasurable. Save up for the stage 2 tuning. Just make sure your Disco is running right before you have any remap and if you can get an EGR bypass kit fitted, decat pipe (although Gary can do both of these if you want) clean MAP sensor in inlet manifold etc first.

Alive tuning near grimsby never used them. Never had my disco remapped but Interpro in Bristol did my E36 BMW M50 tubby, Mk2 Jetta GTI before and after transplant, My V6 GSI 'loon 2.2 SRI 'loon and V6 SRI estate before and after transplant. More gains reported at other's but made the drive so much more fun. They will also do a 3 piece live mapping that really tailors a car to your driving but that was very expensive so I just had the live RR map. They are more track car biased, But alive tuning is highly talked about in the LR community :)

Get it done. Get the stage 2. I am excited to get my new motor up Interpro,

Do you mean my reply?

What's wrong with it?

Get off your high horse and do one you utter ignoramus.

You reckon just a remap is the right answer? How do you know what he wants the remap for, maybe he's gonna want low-end for off-roading, what if he wants pure top-end for drag racing (OK, st00pid, but others have done as much) At least you told him to get his Disco running right first .. but that doesn't stop you being a self-righteous ####wit.

Ha ha thanks Paul D this is what I have done to my td5 it's had a de cat pipe got rid of the center box blanked off the egr cleaned map sensor striped and cleand inlet manifold is there anything else that can be done ?

Jeez....Narcissist's....!

.. and you're not? "Tell him I sent you.." smacks more of narcissism than anything I said ..

Using an extended vocabulary without understanding the meaning of what you write, in context, really does show you up to be the ####wit I find you to be ...

Heheh, basic decent service, just make sure there aren't any fuelling, timing, or running issues. No point re-mapping an engine (of any sort) that's running like a dog .. :)

Please explain in what way my post was belittling? Or had overtones of addressing a naughty schoolboy?
The OP does not show a location, so I..in all good faith - indicated where I thought "best" within my area...but I did acknowledge that if he were some distance away, then my choice might not be of much use. What, exactly, is your problem with that?:confused:

His main problem appears to be his own narcissistic ####wittery. Such a strong belief in himself means he can't understand that others might also contribute something too ..

Beneagles.....I wasn't referring to you in any way.

Obviously I was referring to Paul and John.

Yeah Paul... The denial of the label I gave you and then replying with some insulting remark to make your reply seem somewhat more authorative over me does prove a point.

My point was that some bloke asked a honest and fair question in starting a thread. Then to make the guy feel like he shouldn't have bothered asking the question in the first place wasn't really that smart. Let's face it forums like this rely on people coming on and asking questions and just being answered in an adult manner.

Now with my narcissistic nature I'll end on that.

Calm down dear tiz only a question. But i see why people get annoyed seeing as its a common question and the search button is there for a reason
