Can now confirm passenger side drain is semi blocked.
Tried to suck out with cleaner and thin tube, also tried roding with thin plastic cable, no joy.
Conclusion neither of above methods work or are possible on TD5 headlineing has got to come down.

It gives an excellent step by step to doing the sunroof. I'll be doing mine in the near future.

The plastic plug where the drain tube joins the drip tray is a common failure point. It needs glued properly to be water tight.

I think the roof will leak to a degree thats why it has drain channels or tubes and in my case by pouring water in i know passenger side is blocked

Another leaking sunroof link below, it shows the small box section that the drain hose fits on to, there's sealent where the box section jouns the frame why it was not fully welded i don't know but that's where my leak was coming from.
I remove the head lining trim around the sunroof and pulled down the head lining about two inches and with a small inspection mirror and a tourch I could see the water slowly dripping through. All was cured with some mastic smeared over the box section joints and where the hose enters.
