Hi guys,

Long time listener first time caller as they say. I have a 1999 110 TD5 with a rattling transfer box lever which is now driving me round the bend. I have managed to locate the two plastic washer type bushes that go onto the lever pin but am having no luck finding the white tubular bush that the lever threads through. It is this tubular bush that is causing the rattle. Anyone know what the part number for this bush is and whether it can actually be changed with the box in situ? Gearbox is R380 b.t.w.

Any help greatly appreciated. I am getting to the point of considering wrapping a bungee cord round the thing to stop the rattle at the minute!

welcome to the forum, if you pop a post in introduce yourself as well will get more notice, am sure one of the more knowledgable members will be along shortly to quote part no for you, i swear some of them have the parts catalogue committed to memory

Thanks, Think i have found the correct parts now, anyone got any idea if this can be changed in situ. looks like the 'C' clip that secures the bush is on the underside.

I haven't changed these but maybe seat and centre cover plates out and a right angled circlip pliers set will do the job
