Hi, I've got a Disco 2 facelift.... not raised a spanner to it in the last 15 months due to being overwhelmed with work from a house move... it's been totally reliable :) Passed it's MOT with no advisories on Friday too...

Anyhow, I've noticed that for the past 6 months, it's developed a slight rattle/pattering noise from the back somewhere when driving on bumpy roads, nothing severe just irritating.

I've had a quick look at the usual stuff, exhaust mounts etc but can't see anything amiss....

Any ideas or favorite culprits ?

Thanks

Mat

Did you take a look at the exhaust heat shield underneath? Had that come loose on mine before.

This may help ! Put your hand on back DOOR & shove ! Went over to mates A good bit back & found him under td5 tryin to find knock/thump from rear end  Told him to get from under it & drive it down road , within 2 feet I new wot it was ! Back door catch warn  slight HAMMER adjustment with screws undone sorted ! :D:D:p

I'll take a look at the back door, although it sounds like it's coming from underneath. I did think at first it was the spare wheel coming loose. Last year I removed the complete ACE system and fitted a pair of standard Anti-roll bars and all new bushes, that was only about 4000miles ago, so I don't think it's that ?

I'll check the watts linkage, I'm guessing it's nothing too worn, otherwise my MOT tester would have flagged it up, I've used him for years and he's pretty thorough.

Thanks
