Hi there, need help , started my 93 classic the other nite 2 go 2 work , she started fine , left her sittin 4 a few mins 2 warm up as i always do ( check lites an such stuff ) drove round my car park an stopped at the gate an waited 4 it 2 open , she jus died , no cough or splutter jus straight died , engine spins now wont start , pushed her back 2 her parkin space , checked for fuel no power at the pump , rigged up direct temporary power now got fuel at the engine , checked 4 spark , got spark , so now got fuel at the engine an spark but no bang , took out couple random spark plugs did quick compression test all very good but couldn't c fuel when looked down the plug hole , had the seats out checked the relays , a m8 said they work ok click when bridged , bought a new ecu plugged it in , no go , listen at the relays an cant here them doin anythin when the key is turned with either ecu an pump not arming with either ecu , thats the limit of my ability without actualy knowing what 2 look 4 , she has had new plugs , rotor arm , distributor cap , oil filter , oil , fuel pump , has been runnin fine with these parts an had been runnin fine the mornin b 4 she died , dont no wot 2 do now , please help

ignition amplifier-fair bet
pull king lead off distributor-hold it 5mm from body and crank-have you a spark?

instant cut out and amps notorious, but fuel pump is possible as well

got spark from coil good an got spark at plug good . fuel pump works if u put a direct power , i live in milton keynes , i think thats in my profile but not sure

Fuel pump and or senders ****ed happened to mine a few months ago on the face of it looks like fuel starvation but bet you its the pump an sender

new fuel pump/sender was fitted few days b 4 the problem , no power 2 the pump but works if i dirrect feed it , can get fuel 2 the engine but not past the fuel injectors , have checked fuel flow when constant power on so not fuel starvation

If you have a Haynes manual it'll tell you the sequence of checks to do to check the Ignition Amplifier module and coil connections. Looks a bit long winded but I worked through it last year with a multimeter and it was my module causing part of the problem (along with the fuel temp sensor). Are you definite about there being no wires off at the end of the ignition barrel?

all wires look like there where they should b on the ignition , none come of if you poke arond under there , havent got a manual yet but is ordered an on its way

under rear of passenger front seat right corner as you look at back of seat, could just need pushing down, sorry thought you knew it had one, any problem finding it let me know

omg , found the fault , a block connecter had jus ever so slightly come apart , not completely but enough to break connection , many thanx to everyone that took the time to look and help , many thanx , tom .

Glad its sorted , what is that connector for future refernce?
