I'm having trouble with my 1994 3.9 efi Classic. The immobiliser seems to be stuck on, so I can't get the damn thing to start. Is there any way to bypass the immobiliser at all to at least get it moved to my local landy mechanic?

I've tried all the usual stuff, checking there's no blown fuses, disconnected the battery for ten minutes and re-connected but it's still not for budging.

Any ideas would be much appreciated guys.

is it a soft dash model??
have checked the fuel pump switch under the passenger seat is in the down position.

There is a simple fix if it is the immobiliser.
I bought a 'chip' from a specialist for £35 when I lost my keys, which was just a jumper wire in a connector to replace the alarm ecu. Car has run perfectly ever since albeit without central locking. I was supposed to send him the ECU to get it unlocked but never got round to it.
The website was remotekey.co.uk

Yeah, it's the soft dash model.

Noticed when I was out though, the seal on the windscreen must've failed because there's some trickles of water coming down past the electrics. Which is never a good combo.

Finally got a sunny day here after the downpour it's been here the past few days, so I'm gonna try drying out the area.

Thanks for the reply SpudH. I'll give that company a try.

i got set of carbs and manifold for 4.0 lump if ya want em.:nospamhere:
Where abouts are you and how much would you be looking for em?

I'm in the West of Scotland and since the damn motor won't start I'm stuck with no transport. S'pose a courier is always an option.
