they are pretty sad to take off in first gear you need to give it plenty boot if you take off with little accelerator you could have a nap while it gets going . when you get it going in first is it ok ??

The throttle pedal has to move a long way for anything to happen which gives the impression of no power and there is not a lot of power below 2500rpm. You can fit a PSI Power box, that ups the performance a good bit with no risk as it just plugs in or you can go for a re-map which will involve pulling the engine ECU out which can end up causing you problems.

I'm with data-man, the pedal travel is immense, if you watch the american owners video on you-tube (which obviously i didn't....................) they say it is so you can drive slowly and precisely off-road. I have the plug-in box, it will never win any drag races, but will stop you feeling like you are going to be T-boned at every junction (used to have a TD5 that did that until i 'fiddled' with it ;)).

Get a td6 ! Mines chipped and its far from slow when moving off :)

Yes but to get a td6 you have to buy an even more complicated and difficult to maintain L322 and the parts are horrendously expensive:p:p:p
When I win the lotto:rolleyes: I'll keep my P38 and have the TdV6 conversion done:D
