Looking for some buying advice on a 2015 3lt Diesel Range Rover sport, do they suffer with DPF problems and would that year have add Blue, there seems to be plenty around for sale, not sure if that’s good or bad. It would be good to hear from someone who is actually running one and what there experience has been with it
Thanks
Chris

No idea about the DPF but that might be the engine that breaks cranks for fun. The best advice is don't.

I am looking for an everyday 4wd with some luxury, I love my Defender and not selling it, I looked at Landcruisers but they look like they are on the same level as my Defender. Has our Governments killed the 4wd market.

If I had the cash for a Land Cruiser, I would not be driving a Land Rover

I have looked at some 15 plate Landcruisers and the chassis’s don’t look like they have been treated well from the factory, I saw a lot of rust on them, ok mainly surface rust but you wouldn’t want to leave it like it.

If your worried about a bit of rust on a landcruiser then you may be in for a shock with a RR as the subframes go and the brakelines and the sills/wheel arches:(

Even the late 2000's mitsubishi land cruiser and pajero have holes in the rear most sills... Just near the rear suspension hangers

Here is my p38 replacment and ulez replacment for the wife's D3 when the new proposed zone comes in where I live.....fuk kunt khan long live the V8

How are you getting on with that, I have come close to buying the 3lt diesel but after reading about cam shafts snapping it’s put me right off, in the real world what mpg do you get from it, no DPF is very appealing as well.
Thanks
Chris

I bought it with a few jobs todo, to be honest I prefer my P38 but not being ulez I sadly let it go. My L322 m62 v8 is amazing.....just what a range rover should be the sport .....well its OK.
On a run iv seen over 26 mpg around town 13mpg give a boot full and your in single figures.
Find a good 1 and you won't look back there are loads out there, it's based on the D3 chassis etc so I'm use to it. Air suspension, running gear .
Have a test drive and I'm sure you will be happy.
There is a buyers guide on the sport forum

Thanks for the info, I must admit I have started to look at them, I was set on the Diesel but the petrol version looks much better and no doubt more fun.
Thanks
Chris

Iv just started to clean this car properly since getting it. Got the wheels to refurb and last mechanical issue is the super charger snout bearing and coupler to replace and its fit for purpose.
