Hi, I have a 2009 Range Rover sport tdv8 and have not long changed the shock absorbers aprox 1500 miles. Just been for test and failed on shock absorbers particularly the left front and rear, there is no oil or visible signs of a leak and it does not feel any different while driving?? I’m at my wits end and am asking is there anything else which would cause a low reading on the test??? Thanks in advance for any help .

Were your replacement shocks OEM or cheapo's. Lots of rubbish quality on the market so if they were non OEM they may have failed already.

Have you tried bouncing the corners to see how it reacts? If all corners seem the same, I'd be tempted to take it to a different test centre. Did you get a print out of the figures or see them on the screen? Could be the garage is just looking for work.
That was my thoughts and yes all corners seem the same and have already taken for another test with same result…. I thought there may be something else that may give the appearance of faulty shocks either electronic or not?? If not I will just have to change out the four corners again
Strange one that, I would have thought the only way they could fail, is, they were leaking or broken (mountings).
What's entered on the fail certificate/online MOT test check as the actual reason given for the fail?

What kind of test and what kind of reading? Knowing what is wrong will help find the cause....
