Hi. Guys desperate looking for my dreaming range rover sport but still can't decide which engine to choice? I'm only after petrol and will be converted on lpg like my other big cars. Never been fan of diesel only petrol. So which one is better? 4.4 or 4.2 super charged? Any common faults in this engines??? Please help. Thanks for your help.
Best Regards
Mario ( polish lad )

The bmw 4.4 V8 is fine on lpg and doesn't suffer from valve seat recession. The 4.2 jag engine does and needs valve lubrication.

My is a STAG system (from Poland!) and has been fault free in 5 years and 50,000 miles. BRC is another good make but most important is the fitter and the set up.

The 4.4 BMW engine is fine with LPG but apparently the 4.2/4.4 Jag engines are not and indeed suffer from valve seat recession! Don't all the RRS have Jag engines?
