I'm not knocking the Snap on stuff but they are for use on lots of different marques so don't really specialise enough with one make. also the P38 is not OBD 2 compliant. So the dedicated tools are far better, The BBs Nanocom and faultmate are very good and the Lynx system seems to be getting good reports. Also I'm not sure what live feeds you can bring up with the Snap-on kit. I use the Nanocom and the information you can see is sometimes over powering. Very good piece of kit I'd be lost without it.
 
IS the car drivable at all? Just thinking you might be able to get to me if somebody closer can't help. The only trouble with coming all this way is I may well find what's wrong but we are unable to fix it without new parts. You may have to try and limp home again then fix it. Of course there is always the possibility I see nothing amiss which is a right ballsache for you.

it is driveable just gotta try stay above 3k.i have got a recovery truck tho ;)

Yea, sorry mate, I still can't get my Nanocom to talk to a diesel and, so far, all that Black Box have suggested is that the licence is incorrectly entered. If I get it sorted you're still welcome to have a play.

that's ok mate was nice of you to try. just need it fixed asap now as the car im using has gotta go back soon as.hopefully garage picks it up and tells me whats wrong.when we spoke 2 them earlier they send it was not common on diesel trucks :confused::confused:

My nanocom licence key included the number "one". No Joy - eventually they said try L, I or lower case L. The lower case L did the trick. You'll know in advance of connecting it to the car if the next level of menu opens up without it saying "function locked".

Thanks mate, that's more or less what Black Box said. Problem is I've had the Nano for 18 months, working fine, and it's now decided that diesels are locked out.
