hi ppl im new to this so please bare with me i have a range rover p38 gem engine 4.6 i need to check if my ecu is getting power so i can use a sync mate to sync my becm and ecu together hope someone can help cheers in advance

First check fuse 37. Then if that is sound check relay 19 for function. If they are sound Syncmate should sync code in ECM with code stored in BECM. Only if codes agree will BECM ground power from relay 19 going through ECM and switch it on.

right battery been fully charged just took off charge and put on car ive tested the cables on the red/pink ecu plug with ignition on and a black wire is pulsing no power though im getting a click from realy for fans too is fuse 37 the one with like lightening in it 20 amp if so there no power going too it ill check again after dinner im in rainham essex if anyone local

the second or third one on the left side ??? if so no power getting too it also the two relays clicking are the ones on bottom left if your looking at fuse box from front of car

right just an update there power to the fuse you said about checked it in book and tested it power to the relay your on about if i put tester in powers up on two pins and if i put tester in connector on ecu it clicks also if i wiggle/seperate wires going to ecu plugs it will now turn over but still not start PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Where are you? Diagnostics might help.

What year?

So, turns over. In the absence of diagnostics, is there a spark at the plugs and is there fuel getting through?

ill check spark tomorrow now and fuel still not got check engine light on thou and black box is still showing no power to ecu im in rainham essex

its been lpg converted too if that helps in a theory you may have

Know even less about LPG. I'm a complete novice. My understanding is that it will start on petrol so shouldn't affect it. I'm just starting with the basics cause that's all I know. Saint and Wammers etc know WAY more but if they're busy eating cake I guess you'll take what you can get.

Location might mean there's a member nearby who can help, preferably with proper diagnostics. Could be a sensor has given up the ghost.

but if its a sensor would the check engine light not light im in the same boat when it comes to electrics i hate them

Not sure as it won't have started, if you follow me? That's why we need one of the experienced members!

Apparently drowning in his own puddle of dribble looking at the pics of the suffix a and csk ,god help him when Adam start posting pics of the finished motors:D

Just seen that. Honestly, Tomcat can't look at an input shaft without breaking his zipper and Saint cannot look at a V8 without retiring to the smallest room in the house for a break.
