You must be very happy @lazbaz you said it three times.:p
Could you be more descriptive of why and it may present a solution we could help you with big guy;)

How about some 40x10mm flat bar bolted to the seat mounts on the car body and then the holes for the seat rails drilled further back ?
Not a truly thought out suggestion but maybe? o_O
Yes I was thinking some mod to the runners. I would like it done by Authorised workshop but I do not have anywhere I could gp to.

Are there any places such as the ones that do the special controls for disabled drivers. That would be the closest to someone who can officially modify a vehicle in that way? :)

Whats his problem I have hip and knee problems and find the P38 has plenty of access room

I am happy for you. I have a need to do what I said. If you do not have a solution to offer that's fine.
Nothing personal. Take care.

I think he asked a question. Which obviously you dismissed.

It’s been pointed out the risk of moving the standard fixings of the seat.
Maybe try a n other car, or discuss the issue like a civilised human.

Try an L322 the seat goes down and back when you turn of the ignition:).

Enjoy your evening.

That is what I was hoping modify the runners to accommodate the extra travel back. Any workshops that could do that? Any suggestion of workshops?

For insurance purposes, I personally wouldn't do it for a client. It protects us both. If your seat broke loose in an accident you could be seriously hurt and the garage would be hung.
You need a professional car adaptors.

Thank you for pointing out the Legal aspect.
It's easily overlooked, here in France the whole idea of modification is kept to a limit. Even tyre sizes are controlled, on my 38' I'm not allowed any other tyre size than 255/65/16 for that rim size.. I can fit other 38' wheels but only with the landrover manufacturer sizes.

Not easy to move the seat back further because of the rear mounting tangs and it needs to be done in a manner that is strong enough to take the load in the event of an accident as the the seat belt mounts are on the seat. You mate must be fecking giant, even Ed China on Wheeler dealers can get into a P38.
You sure the seat is going all the way back?
Ed China is big at the Poles, my friend is big at the Equator. I hope this politely clarifies the situation without further jokes!

I would have thought the B pillar is the limiting factor. The steering wheel adjusts, of course.

That's not funny mate;):D

To be fair, nor is morbid obesity or its inevitable result: diabetes. An old friend dropped by out of the blue last week. Now insulin dependent and damn near lost a foot a few weeks ago. I told him if you cannot recognise what part of the plant or animal it was chopped off, don't eat it. He said: "you've been saying that for over 30 years". My response? Nothing has changed; I am not trying to sell a new diet book or fitness regime. I just tell you how to stay healthy.
