<H1 class=subject>Hi,

When I start my car from cold and drive away. When changing from first to second gear and second to third. This symbol on the dash board comes on, and the car loses its power for 2 secs then the light goes off and the car regains its power. After about 10mins of driving the car. The fault completely goes away. I've been monitoring it, and it always does it in the morning after the cars been sat there all night. Sometimes it does it after work as well. If I haven't been home at lunch. I've done a bit of reading. This symbol people seem to say its an injector warning light.

Can anyone shed some light on this please??

Thought id hit the jackpot when i read your fault description as this is identical to my fault, but then i scrolled down and saw that no one had responded. I see the date when posted was 2008 so i am hoping you are still a member and you fixed your car and you could possibly help me out or anybody else for that matter.

Bad connection to number four injector. Bad connection to the injector will not cause engine to stop only go into safe mode. But a bad connection to crank position sensor will also light warning lamp and stop engine dead. Whilst the engine can run without number four injector signal, it will not run without signal from crank postion sensor.

Thanks for the quick replies! The thread title is a little misleading, the engine does not cut out it just loses power briefly when releasing the clutch after changing into second but seems ok when changing into second at higher revs.
WAMMERS - do you by any chance use independent landrover services? If so will they be able to read my fault codes?
