You can fit a second hand one but all it will need diag to transfer info and settings, others will know more.

Hi Dermil,
I had a problem with my instrument cluster as well as pixelations. Took it to Cluster UK and they did a cracking job on it including changing the dials to white background with LED lighting. Hope that helps?

hi
the problem with mine is it is stopping car from starting cant remember exactly the problem is but when i try to start motor engine wont turn over been through everything like starter motor relays checked all earths cluster was sent away not sure what company they came back with the fault i think to do with the immobiliser not sending message to starter

its a 2008 model 3.6 the cluster im told has the immobiliser (or something like it in it) all signals from other parts when going to start sends signals to it and when satisfied allows engine to start sorry for poor description I'M NO MECHANIC

If it were 2002-2005 then the IKE (instrument Cluster) doesn't contain the immobiliser (EWS) system......but the IKE does act as the databus gateway and hub for all the buses to connect into before the diagnostics socket.

As it is a 2008, I wouldn't know, sorry.
