Many thanks, Ive had it recovered and taken to my local garage who are Range rover specialists, I'll post what it was when I get it back.
The beauty of RR ownership is nothing can't be fixed, so don't feel disheartened and once it's fixed you add value.
 
No i bought it privately and with full service history
Just smile and wave.... smile and wave. As I said in previous post, if it doesn't light up the dash, smell of burning or clatter like a bag of spanners, you might be lucky? Not such a PITA working on RR gearbox compared to a family car.... just fooking heavy for DIY enthusiast with two spoons and a halfords jack!
