Get hold of an electric fence or the HT of a cathode ray tube or car HT lead, tens of thousands of volts and only milliamps but it will give a nasty shock. For current (amps) to flow through a resistance (your body) there has to be sufficient volts. V/R = I. Thus you can safely touch the posts of a battery that can give 900 or more amps and feel nothing. In the case of the human body, the higher the voltage, the greater the current (amps) if the amps are available as the resistance value is in effect fixed.Well, yes, that goes without saying but you can handle thousands of volts with low enough amps. You cannot handle many amps no matter whatbthe volts.
