Just in process of buying a 2004 l322 td6 range rover from a car dealer....its mint! But......radio/satnav screen doesnt work, you can hear the radio etc but nothing on screen its just blank....dealer has had is usual landy garage change the dash screen but still nothing, so have said due to the high cost of fixing it, as it might need a new loom?????? I can either take "as is" with warranty still on the rest of the car and some knocked off the price, or i can withdraw from buying it and they will just push it through the auction to get rid..... Now i do really like it as its mint, so what could the problem be???? Loom????? Surely not....thanks for your help in advance

If things don't work, walk away. The problem will almost certainly be water ingress to the rear nearside quarter which will have destroyed one or more of the units in there like SatNav, DSP etc. £££££'s to fix.

It could be any number of things. As Datatek says the most common is water ingress to the NSR modules. If you can hear audio part of the system is awake so check the power and grounds to the screen and also the wake up feed from the CJB. I have recently fitted a new screen in one which was £5K so beware things can get expensive, a new loom is £4K plus 40 hours to fit.
