The Ejoke is NOT a Range Rover.....I mean the whole idea and prinicple of Range Rover is to be the pinnacle, a real flagship for a brand....it was never intended to be a 'cheap' model to appeal to the masses....it was to be the best of the best, the marque to aim and strive for....

Making it cheap so it is more accessible is not what Range Rover was meant for.

It is an alright vehicle - I had to drive one to see what it was like....not my cup of tea to be honest - but it is not a Range Rover.

If JLR had called it the Land Rover Evoque, I would be happy for it to sit in the stable with all other Land Rovers......but a Range Rover it is not and never will be.

A bmw L322 v land rover evoque.
Which one has a pedigree.
Which one wears a true land rover badge.
Range rover it is not but......

Ant I could not have said it better myself. You have expressed my exact sentiments. I have said from the start it should be a Land Rover Evoque. Calling it such would have removed a lot of the offence caused to most by calling it a Range Rover. Any vehicle I can see over is not a Range Rover!

Not that it adds ballast to any argument but the Chinese have copied the Evoque, i'd love to see evidence of an attempt at the proper Rangie.... imagine the blinding glistening bling grill and the roar of the 4-pot mated to a ropey 5 speed manual box "Renault 4 style"
shifter.. (I christen it LF1RE)

The market for classics is going up, maybe they'll start making knock-off RRCs, that'd be interesting. :p

Lol, looks like it'd be fun to throw it at things just to see how it does, wouldn't get to throw it at much with just a 40-50km range though.

Also, where can I get paid to hit stuff with sticks and bricks? That looks fun. :p
