hello everyone just a quick one gotta change the diesel pump part no esr1111. i take it its under the bks seats ne one changed one and have ne tips

there was a thread on here the other day about this, where you cut a hole in the boot floor he put all measurements and datum points to take it all from, or it drop the tank down from under the car done it that way my self start to finish on a drive using normal hand tools was just under 1 1/2 hours

people do it both ways i took down the tank it is a job that you are only going to be doing once so dont cut the floor as i have seen a p 38 that had the floor cut to fit a fuel pump and mice/rat went in and eat the wiring to make room

it is worth dropping the fuel tank, on dropping mine i found the strap that holds the tank was starting to rot so i cut out the rot and welded in new metal, worth taking the tank off anyway to clean it out,and flush or blow through fuel lines, i took off the return pipe and the fuel pipe at the filter and made sure they were clear. not a bad job,but you will get covered in diesel, you can cut the floor but for me it is something i would rather not do. tip is go through it methodically,do not rush it and make sure you put the pipes back on in the right order. and make sure the tank is as low on fuel as possible, have at least 15 litres to put back in.
