I actually think seeing the planning on how they decided the optimum speed and worked out what was safe or not would be as interesting as the finished film.
 
Bit of useless info , tyres were supposed to be Goodyear Duratracs

Not useless info. at all, plenty of vehicles would have the power/torque to climb that degree of slope, but at the end of the day it's traction that counts.
nb: it's not as if it's never been done before either, during WW2 a certain officer in the Paras. drove a jeep up the staircase of a stately home (Highlands House in Essex) allegedly whilst under the influence :eek:
