They are rare - 2000 made in two years - LWB is the US badging for the LSE, invariably a 4.2 in a 108 inch wheelbase, very few 3.9`s ( some for Australian market for example). Many were exported, mostly to the US, which was the target market
DVLA showed just 550 left in UK December 2010, which I think is high.
£39,995 when new.
I believe the first twenty went to the Government and Royals - the Queen Mother had one, which is now at Gaydon. I also suspect those 20 had the rear picnic tables and drinks fridge as options, which are like hens teeth.
That would be about 64,000 US $

The irony of a regular on here pulling someone up for spelling and then not being able to spell 'paedophile' himself! Hilarious!

2,000 is quite rare, Phill. I wonder if this makes them much rarer than the soft dash RR?

Thats maybe because it wasn't incorrectly spelt...it was a play on words, those words being pedantic and phil......whoosh.

lse 108 inches

poor bloke 4 pages to get near an answer lol, you guys are cruel

Nah...the fella got an answer on page three ;)

I'll repeat what I posted on page3, LSE is less common than SE. However 2000 is not rare. Look at some other prestige/expensive brands to get a correct perspective. If you really wanted one in the UK you would be able to find one for sale.

Its not as rare as some cars, nor even some Range Rovers (the CSK for example) - but 2000 over 2 years is still a very a small production run for Land Rover.
Total production of Classics in 1992 was 15,334, 1993 14,870, and 1994 15,283 - those are calendar year numbers but they are Land Rover Limited numbers. The LSE was announced in October 1992 but only came onto sale at the end of 1992, acquiring a soft dash in March 1994, and still on sale in the US until January 1995.
As to total production of Classics - my guess is somewhere around 300,000 ( the 100,000th was built in 1982 just to put it into persepctive ) - so that makes a 2000 model run rare in my book, but its just my opinion and others are entitled are to their own

Thanks guys for the comments, she is a L reg LWB I belive the rear doors are the only differance. I will not be selling her as she is to undergo a full restoration ( will post some pics) Its one of the best cars I have ever owned and in Dorset turns heads, feel like I am rich ( wish I was) cheers Phill
