Thanks for that info.....Any idea what colour marks are on those police spec springs?I fitted Police spec springs on my 91 Vogue it made the car much nicer to drive, ride wasn't impaired and it felt much more sure on the road, whereas stock it was scary on some roads. .
A set of springs and Bilstein shocks made a world of difference..
The VM Diesel RRC had slightly stiffer front springs IIRC if you could find a set then that also might be worth a punt..

Thank you. That helps a lot and adds clarity for the overweight diesel.AMENDMENT!!
@landyboots
Police spec never included a set for the front as they don't tend to carry kit on the bonnet LOL
From checking my notes I fitted Diesel fronts and Plod spec rears!
The Kit I bought was a genuine article from ebay 2nd hand new!! a few sites list Plod spec fronts as "heavy duty/Plod spec
They don't list the spring rate though....
H
Police spec on Paddocks site are showing 285.50 lbs/in The red/white are standard heavy duty rears and are rated at 170 lbs/in so, I think 2 sets for front and rear to cope with the extra weight of the Mazda lump.Police spec from what i remember were red/white the rating was 170 lbs IIRC
Diesel spec front springs are slightly stiffer than stock at 150lbs compared to 134 of stock which is a nice "intermediate" upgrade
Thank you..... Need to save a small fortune now. Alcohol will have to sit it out for a whileYou will need the VIN for to correct specifications, unfortunately the genuine part is now obsolete.
But when available in my RR days the part numbers etc were as follows and without any issues
Front. 572315 blue stripe x 2.
Rear. up to VIN GA NRC 8113 pink/purple stripe x 2.
Rear. from VIN HA NRC 2119 green stripe x 2.
Remember that the rear springs are ‘progressive’.
The spring manufacturing company called British Springs supplies springs to the Land Rover vehicles specifications.
